Thanks so much for stopping by. Before you get any further, I wanted to give a little background to this blog o’ mine. Here’s the deal - I consider myself a storyteller. To me, photography is the art of documenting people’s lives, the big moments and the little details!!!
Pretty images are GREAT and all, but sometimes you want more than just a glimpse. That’s what these digital pages are for!! So if you’re the type that’s looking for the full scoop, read on my friend. Who knows… maybe your story will end up here next!!!
Travel Guide: Maine
This was my first time visiting Maine and I already can’t wait to go back! Our family rented a beautiful house on the beach for a week and spent our days exploring town, hiking the rocky coast, riding bikes, and of course enjoying amazing seafood!
Kennebunkport is the cutest coastal town with lots of shops and amazing local restaurants. My favorite place for seafood was Nunan’s Lobster Hut. “Hut” is the perfect word to describe this place, it’s much more of a shack than a restaurant, but the bright and funky interior added to the quintessential Maine experience! When you order the lobster, you receive them steaming on a plate, legs, eyes, antennas and all, with tools for cracking and butter for dipping. Thank goodness they give you bibs because it’s a messy but fun adventure in eating!
We spent one evening at the lovely Hidden Pond resort and I was OBSESSED with the rustic chic vibes of the place. If you’re looking for a place to stay or just visit for dinner, I highly recommend it!! We wandered the grounds and found a cute flower garden where guests could cut and arrange their own bouquets for their rooms. The fam even cooperated for a few portraits around Hidden Pond!! My sister-in-law Kelsey and her husband TJ are expecting a baby boy this fall, and I was so honored to capture a few maternity photos to document this special time for them.
My favorite memories of the trip were back at the house, hanging around the fire pit in the evenings. We made s’mores and sipped cocktails, just watching the ocean and relaxing. So many of my travels are jam packed that it was nice to just sit back and enjoy some family time. Check out my favorite photos of our trip below!
